more than money

Just because someone has money they think they have some form of superiority over those who don't. Respect is a form of love and love is suppose to be shown to everyone even our enemies.
Lisi Harrison demonstrated this perfectly in the book "the clique " . Massie's parents are wealthy to the point that massie gets whatever she has ever asked for. The girls at her private school both adorn and fear her and her three friend who call themselves the "pretty committee".  With Alicia being the beta to her alpha, Massie expects everyone to bend to her will. Because her parents can buy anything  Massie thinks she can buy anyone. When  Clare, the daughter of her father's best friend, moves into the guest house Massie's gets her world shaken by a girl who not only does not fear her but even challenges Massie's superiority.
To often is someone put on a pedestal because of money. You can tell a lot about a community based on their priorities. What do our priorities tell you?

dreams

only in my head
they lie in wonder.
waiting to be brought out when my eyes close
.never in the presence of nightmares
but when untamed can become them.
like little flowers waiting to be used or cast away,
and if lucky might just make it into reality.
